Beach Bum is looking for a Head of R&D, to take ownership in this new unique challenging role, and create the next generation of our games.

Responsibilities:

• Working directly underneath the studio’s general manager as the top technical figure.

• Ownership of all technical aspects of the game, including performance, stability, new technologies and more.

• Managing all studio development groups

• Be in charge of the technical operations for the live production game.

• Understanding the studio’s business demands and take part of the planning group.

• Working with other studios and cross company divisions.

• Transforming product specification into a technical HLD.

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in unity game development (2D) - within a gaming company

• At least 1 year of management experience, as a team leader or above

• Experience working in Unity 5.x or higher

• Extensive knowledge with O.O concepts and design patterns

• Extensive knowledge in mobile development platforms (iOS and Android)

• Experience in agile development processes

• Experience in server, communication protocols, DBs and high performance systems.
